Oh Boy. We are BACK, and back with a VENGEANCE. Beacon Hill has given me HELL the two times I’ve played here. The first time I was playing so bad I decided go to a 2 ball self scramble on the last six holes. The second time was a tale of two nines, and the front was absolutely HORRIBLE. Two doubles and a TRIPLE… Ugh. I’m not the only one though. Holes 2 and 5 at this course are featured on Michigan Golf Live’s: “Metro-Detroit’s 18 Toughest Holes,” and Beacon Hill is one of only two courses in metro Detroit to have multiple holes on that list. Golf is an 18 hole game. You can’t just pick and choose which ones you play, and in order for a 70’s round, for REVENGE… we must get through 2 and 5. Even a BOGEY wouldn’t upset me that much. Well, okay that sounds a little desperate. Now that I’ve played here before. I know what to expect. I know where to miss, and I know what I’m capable of. A possible additional challenge today? I’m playing with my Uncle from Johnson City, Tennessee as he visits us every Memorial Day weekend. Last year, the two rounds I played with him were both disappointing to say the least. A lousy 86 at Captain’s Club with SEVEN PENALTY STROKES! 😱🤦♂️, and a lackluster 85 at Mulberry Hills where I let a few tough shots down the stretch get the best of me. This was my only round with him this year, so I HAVE to make this good. We also played with a single who paired up with us, and playing with someone you don’t know at all is tough. At least in the high school tournaments you know what the groups are the day before, but today? No way. We gotta keep the blinders on. Well, that’s all I’ve got to say for now. Enjoy the ride guys. Oh, and by the way, HAPPY 36th BIRTHDAY TO NUMBER 36 PATRICK KALETA! You are a Sabres legend and I hope somehow youre reading this.💪⚔️
