A prayer closet is a location where Christians go alone, in privacy, to spend well-needed prayer time with the Lord. This is by only focusing on who HE is, all of the blessings the Lord has granted, promises HE has fulfilled, and all those HE has placed on your heart to pray and intercede for. This song came about because I began to really see how much, this world and the people in it are hurting. I was hurting as well when I penned these lyrics in 2017. However, since that time, God has taken me on an adventurous journey of love, grace, and mercy where HE has shown me more and more of HIS character and who HE is. Through that journey, I have gained a peace that truly surpasses ALL understanding. So, with that being said, because I live in such a peaceful place in HIM now, IT'S TIME TO GO TO WAR because "we fight not against flesh and blood [contending only with physical opponents], but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world forces of this [present] darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly (supernatural) places. This war we fight is truly a spiritual war and WE MUST FIGHT IT WITH PRAYER. So many people are hurting, dying, and suffering from mental and emotional turmoil. I pray this song will give you a sense of urgency to create a secret "prayer closet" area so you can go to war with the real enemy who is Satan himself and his wicked kingdom.
