In this short video, we take a look inside the tank of this commercial BUNN Axiom coffee maker. What we find is a crystalline mess! What solidified (PUNN intended) my decision to open the tank was this crusty white flakes falling off the temperature probe upon its removal for inspection. However, I was not prepared for the view inside the tank. Have any of you that work on these machines ever seen anything like this inside a BUNN coffee maker? Is this something that was sprayed on by BUNN after assembly? Or is it some kind of crystal farm that grew on all the interior surfaces? If you know,. Or have an opinion, please record it in the comment section below. I would love to hear your thoughts. I have not encountered it before. But given the evenly dispersed (flattened) ring of it around the top of the tank, it looks like possibly some kind of anti-calcifying material that was sprayed on after assembly. However, new replacement tanks, heaters nor probes have any such coating. Thanks for watching the video! Please consider giving it a thumbs up!
