On Earth-36, Taha’s voice was discovered long before his fame. His parents noticed it when he was barely 10. They’d have him sing at school events, family gatherings, where even the neighbors would stop outside to listen and enjoy his mesmerizing voice. By 18, he had formed a band called ''Benjdia Bros'' , a small group of talented jazz-loving dreamers who played in cafés, theaters, and smoky back alleys of Casablanca and Rabat. Their sound was new, something that made people feel both happy and alive. As the years went by, Taha’s talent spread far beyond Morocco’s borders. He began collaborating with legends who defined the golden age of music like Édith Piaf, Louis Armstrong who invited him to record a jazz-Arabic fusion in New Orleans in 1965, the first of its kind. Elvis Presley, fascinated by Toto’s phrasing after visiting Morocco, recorded a duet with him in 1971 called “Desert Blue” In 1975, he founded Benjdia Rhythm Society ''BRS'', a groundbreaking label dedicated to discovering and producing new Moroccan talents, from soulful singers to experimental jazz trios and early rock bands. His mission was simple, to prove that Moroccan artists could stand shoulder to shoulder with the world’s greatest. By the end of the decade, ElGrandeToto had done exactly that. His voice became the soundtrack of an era, his label the home of Morocco’s next generation. ──────────── 🎶 Original Song : • Haram (Pablo II) Prod. by Hades 🎧 Style: Vintage Jazz | Soul Ballad | Cinematic Orchestra 🌍 Universe: Earth-36 🎛️ Cover Produced & Reimagined by @mzzekny ──────────── 💭 Join the MZZEKNY Journey What would Moroccan music sound like in another universe?
