Spring fishing trip 2022 - Windy coastal fishing

When you sit at home planning a fishing trip, it’s easy to assume that everything will be perfect when you actually arrive at your destination. The wind will be mild and warm, the sea will be perfectly rippled and the fish will be prowling the shallows for baitfish, shrimps and for your convincing imitations. In the sunset you will lean back with a cold beer, having sore arms after a day’s fabulous fishing. Well mother nature has a word to say as well, and I guess Njǫrd, the norse God of the wind and of the sea, might have been kind of moody lately. Anyway, when we tried to repeat our usually pleasant trip to the Swedish coast a week ago - the wind hit us like a hammer, and made fishing a bit challenging. So instead of a hardcore fishing expedition, this trip turned into something else: visiting the viking cult site Ales Stenar, Ystad (where the Wallander crime series takes place), Hallamölle waterfall and other cool places.
