#Vismayacase #Kirankumar Kollam: Vismaya’s mother Sajitha’s eyes welled up with tears soon after the verdict in the sensational dowry death case was pronounced on Tuesday around 12 pm. Vismaya’s husband Kiran Kumar was awarded 10 years in jail. From morning itself Sajitha was seen patiently and anxiously waiting for the verdict at home, while Vismaya's dad was present at the court. When the media requested her reaction once the verdict was out, Sajitha said, “We got justice, but had expected life imprisonment. We will be approaching higher court”. After thanking the investigators, cops, media, neighbours and more, she also said that the family is grateful for a timely judgment in the case. When asked about Kiran's refusal to accept that he was guilty, Sajitha replied, “Obviously, being the accused, that's what he would say. But, it is not something I can agree with.” Vismaya's father Trivikraman Nair, meanwhile said he was completely satisfied. “My daughter got the justice she deserved but I knew that there was little chance for life imprisonment in dowry harassment case. But this verdict is also a message for the society.”
