Among the trees, bushes and branches of the area of Kristineberg Slottspark, you can find rare species of ants and beetles in Uggleparken. The playground is ‘alive’ and moving with both fauna and flora. Mushrooms, flowers, and leaves are placed among the animals. Beside the beetles, earwigs, and ants, there are two owls overseeing the area - the crowned king and queen both 5.5 meters tall. The interior of the owls offers different levels, stairs, and ladders to climb on. In the playground, the 5.5 meter high owls are the king and queen, and at the same time the owls are the huge slide with slides in tunnels of different lengths. Inside, the owls are built up with different levels, stairs and ladders, and in the evening there are lights in the eyes. In addition, there is a chime in the clothing of the eye queen, which is activated by pressing or hitting a button. All moving parts are enclosed and inaccessible. But the carillon itself is accessible to everyone, including the physically challenged. Next to the owls grows a cluster of giant mushrooms, and there is a connection between all the mushrooms. Some mushrooms are easy to get to, others difficult, so there are plenty of challenges. The slide in the large mushroom starts at a height of 230 cm and is one m wide, so there is room to both slide down and run up at the same time. In addition, there is a large carousel mushroom that you can swing on alone or with your friends. The beetles are the bandits of the playground. They look dangerous, but up close they are full of beautiful patterns and colors, just like real beetles. The children can climb anywhere on the beetle, and inside there is a large room with a wheelhouse, so you can steer the beetle wherever you want. In the large mother beetle, there is room to enter and even though the ramp is steep, it is great fun. All around the playground is teeming with small ants, all on their way to the large anthill where they live. The anthill is a chaotic jumble of sticks and strings in a huge stack. The sticks in the tue have different colors that form different routes with different levels of difficulty, so there is order in chaos with big and small challenges. Inside the anthill there is a labyrinth with both wide and narrow roads. In Blomsterland there are small nests and hammocks where you can sit and chat. Under the flowers there is shade on hot days and shelter when it rains. Flower boxes and three acorns are a play area intended for the smallest. The flower boxes are sandboxes surrounded by a wide deck for sitting and baking shortbread. The large acorns are playhouses and small climbing equipment for the children who dare.
