Dermatology Residency Program | Community Involvement

The Department of Dermatology has a longstanding commitment to community engagement, evidenced by our participation in several events annually. Specifically, we play an integral role in the Prouty, providing essential skin cancer education and sun protection resources to the community via our specialized tent. Our dedication to promoting health and wellbeing is further reflected in our provision of sunscreen samples and educational resources. Our department's commitment to community wellness extends beyond the Prouty, as we conduct skin cancer screenings at various community events each year. Additionally, our residents actively participate in the Good Neighbor Health Clinic, located at the nearby APD small hospital, as a means of clinical volunteerism. Our department's athletic staff and residents are also known for their participation in events such as the Chad, highlighting our commitment to promoting community engagement in both clinical and non-clinical spaces. As faculty members, we take great pride in our role as active volunteers, contributing to numerous aspects of our community.
