So far, only three have been discovered. More zones may exist, but this has not been proven. A unique aspect of this level is that it all appears to have a checkered theme; Every room in this level always consists of visible checkered items or terrain, which may cause visitors of the level to hallucinate. The geometry of this level is unpredictable and highly unstable. The hazards vary depending on the zone that one is in. Some say the Checkspace manifested in the middle of nowhere through a chessboard that accidentally noclipped there. However, there are multiple theories of how the Checkspace came to be the level it is today. The most popular theory to date is the King and the Queen. It has been proven they cannot be observed through any attempted means, since Cameras will automatically turn off upon an encounter with them, and hiding in the Throne Room will not work.
