Reach Falls - Jamacia

The family vacation continues, and we are still in Portland Jamaica. We will be heading to Reach Falls!! The best waterfall in all of Jamaica. After a night at a hotel in Portland, we got up early, had breakfast and got on our way to Reach Falls. Although we are already in Portland, we still have a 45 drive to Reach Falls, it is FAR!!! We stopped along the Long Bay Cliffs to get some pictures and take in the view of the rough seas and waves crashing in to the rocks. We finally arrived and started to walk down to the falls, my son was super excited when we saw just how clean and crystal clear the water is. Just magnificent. We spent some time just taking it all in and then the family swam in the shallow end while I swam under the main waterfall. We then went in to the small cave and climbed through it to the top of the waterfall. The top of the main waterfall is just amazing! Pools of clean water to bath and relax in. Nature at its best. At this point, my son and I started to hike on the river, I swam the deep areas and trekked the rest. We were making our way to the larger cave upriver. When we arrived, we jumped in using the entrance at the top. The inside is always amazing! Clear water, rocks overhead, it is just amazing.
