Before my surgery, I couldn't find any personal experiences from a person that is 30+ years old. This surgery is usually performed on people in their teenage years. If I was any older, I would have been (most likely) advised to get the joint completely fused together. If I was any younger, I would have been advised (most likely) to have the resection be performed. From my understanding, a person can usually get the joint fused together if the resection doesn't take. This video displays my own personal experiences. Please remember that every person is different. I will try to compile a video of the events before, during, and after surgery. But for now... I hope this helps at least one person. Also, weight shifting (side to side) has helped me work on how much weight I can apply to the foot. I make sure that I have a countertop that I can place my hands on. The foot was bound for 2 weeks. It takes a bit to get it moving again! **This video is only meant to express my own personal experiences. It is not meant to provide any medical advice. I am not a doctor... listen to your doctor. **
