230 million girls and women around the world are living with the effects of Female Genital Mutilation. 140,000 of those are right here in the UK. It is a practice with long term consequences for physical, sexual, and psychological health. On International Day of Zero Tolerance Lorraine is joined by Hibo Wardere - a campaigner and educator on FGM after being subjected to the procedure when she was just six years old. Hibo was cut by her mother and aunts in their back garden whilst growing up in Somalia - leading to years of unbearable pain before she was helped by a doctor in the UK over a decade later.
