Girlfriend of a fireworks warehouse worker expresses concerns and frustrations Seven people are ‘unaccounted for’ after an explosion at a pyrotechnics facility in Yolo County Tuesday night, according to Cal Fire. Cal Fire says first responders and investigators are working with the property owner to identify their location. They are using unmanned aircraft systems to assess hazards. The Yolo County Sheriff's Office said the explosion happened near County Road 23 and County Road 86A. Deputies said a warehouse storing fireworks exploded, sparking a fire. It was reported just before 6 p.m. Fire officials said crews arrived to find a few commercial buildings well involved along with numerous spot fires and explosions. They were able to contain the spot fires, and crews are maintaining a safe perimeter. Including all spot fires, about 80 acres in total were burned. Cal Fire is calling the blaze the Oakdale Fire.
