Children’s environments shape their development—and racism shapes those environments. Yet research shows many Americans don’t connect place, racism, and early childhood development, leaving space for harmful narratives to take root. In this webinar, co-hosted with the FrameWorks Institute, hear a discussion on research-backed strategies to communicate these powerful links. Panelists shared practical recommendations for advocates, communicators, and practitioners to strengthen public understanding, shift outdated narratives, and build support for policies that help children and caregivers thrive. The conversation was moderated by Nat Kendall-Taylor, CEO of the FrameWorks Institute, and included Lindsey Burghardt, Chief Science Officer of the Center on the Developing Child and Leah Austin, President and CEO of the National Black Child Development Institute.
