Kornet is an anti-tank guided missile, developed on the basis of the Refleks tank guided weapon system, while retaining its basic layout solutions. Designed to destroy tanks and other armored targets, including those equipped with modern reactive armour. Kornet-D anti-tank guided missile modification can also hit air targets. The complex allows to quickly solve tactical tasks in the zone of responsibility of units of the Land Forces, tactical depth towards the enemy up to 6 km. The main difference from ATGM Fagot, Konkurs and Metis is the guidance system (control is carried out by a laser beam). The trajectory of the missile is a spiral. The missile launcher is mounted on a tripod and includes a sight capable of operating in optical and infrared modes, an optical laser device, and missile guidance and flight control equipment. In addition to the man-portable, the Kornet is included in the IFV-2M armament complex, and can be mounted on the IFV-3 chassis and on the Tiger armored vehicles.
