🐾 Igor’s story begins on the streets. Abandoned. Betrayed. Left behind by his own family. 💔 As far as we know, Igor once had a home. He had people. He had a name spoken with love. Until one day, when that same family chose to commit a cruel and unforgivable act: they threw him out onto the streets, like an object they no longer needed. 🤝 I met Igor in Costinești, a seaside resort on the shores of the Black Sea. We quickly became friends. I gave him food, and he gave me something only abandoned animals know how to offer: pure gratitude. In a very short time, Igor became my friend. 🏥 Unfortunately, I had to leave Costinești due to a health problem. In my absence, his former “owners” handed him over to the dog catchers. From there, Igor was taken to a killing shelter. 💸 In Romania, over approximately 25 years, nearly 1 billion euros have been spent on euthanizing more than 1.5 million dogs. And yet, the problem of stray dogs remains exactly the same. ⚠️ After 35 years of democracy, nothing has changed. And sadly, nothing will change anytime soon — because there is no real interest in solving the problem, only in sweeping it under the rug. 🚨 I got Igor out of the killing shelter very quickly. I knew what those places truly mean: disease, suffering, and death. 🦠 Parvovirus, distemper, babesiosis — diseases that spread rapidly and kill mercilessly. 🛑 Igor was placed in a quarantine area, where he had to stay isolated and protected, so he would not pose a risk to other puppies and, most importantly, so he could survive. ⏳ After a difficult period, Igor was released from quarantine. He waited. He hoped. He was patient. ✨ And after a few months, the miracle happened. 🏡 Igor was adopted by a family in the United Kingdom. Today, he is living exactly the life he deserves: loved, safe, in a real home. In his forever home. ❤️ Through his story, Igor sends a simple but powerful message: Adopt.
