Eureka!💡Ardbeg is celebrating the 25th anniversary of its dedicated fanbase of peat-mad Islay fans, the Ardbeg Committee 🎉 To mark the occasion, the distillery has launched Ardbeg Eureka!, a single malt whisky tailored to Committee’s eclectic tastes. It began with a mysteriously named experiment: Operation Smokescreen. 100 committee members from 15 countries were invited to the distillery on Ardbeg Day 2023 to taste and debate extreme examples of Ardbeg whisky. Then, the Ardbeg team took their feedback and started to craft the ultimate Committee-exclusive release. The result? Ardbeg Eureka! Made with whisky matured in Pedro Ximénez casks blended with roasted malt spirit aged in bourbon casks, selected to complement the PX-cask whisky, Eureka! reflects the complexities of the multi-faceted Committee with its flavours of dark chocolate, cinnamon, seaweed, and smoke.
