#porschegt3 #porsche #porschegt3rs Follow me on my facebook photography page here: https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?... Way back in July of 2025 an instagrammer by the name of Flachstory posted an image of a 911 prototype that he called a GT3 cabriolet. The car in question was very interesting as it featured body panels that were a mix of GT3 and 911 S/T, yet, it was a convertible. The image instantly went viral, mostly because flachstory referred to the car as a GT3 Cabriolet, to which most of the automotive community responded by saying it was actually the upcoming speedster. And to explain why most everyone thought this was a prototype for the new speedster, I'll refer to a youtuber by the name of Arc Driver: Something else that was interesting about this prototype is it was completely exposed and not wearing any camouflage. And because it was sporting wider and more aggressive bodywork, I was thinking it was going to be the first ever Speedster RS. But, there was an interesting panel on the car that may have indicated that it really was going to be a GT3 cabriolet. Shortly after Flachstory's post, pictures of a second prototype began appearing and there were now 2 of these mysterious Porsches running around. 7 months passed since the images first appeared without any new images or news on this potential GT3 cabriolet, but then I last week I got an email from one of my viewers who goes by the name The Car Passion France, who told me that he got word directly from Porsche France that Porsche was indeed making a GT3 cabriolet, which was going to be called the GT3 Sport Cabriolet and he provided some additional details, mainly, that it was a Convertible version of the current 992.2 GT3 Touring, it Features elements from the 992 ST, has a Power output of 510hp at 9000rpm, and would see a Global unveiling in the first or third week of March. And then shortly after that I read an article published by the supercarblog that said essentially the same thing. They also reported that the convertible GT3 will feature a folding soft top and a special aero package consisting of vents behind the front wheel arches like that of the GT3 RS, I think what they really meant was the 911 ST, and a sporty rear bumper with dual exhausts in the centre. Instead of a fixed rear wing, the convertible version might get a retractable spoiler just like the standard 911 Carrera. Now my fellow porsche people, I know I've been disappearing for long periods of time, and I apologize. This is because I do photography and videos of cars for various clients, so when things get busy I'm not able to make youtube videos, but I have had the opportunity to photograph some incredible porsches. And if you would like to see more of my work, I recently created a facebook page for my photography and I would love it if you would follow my page, which I will link in the video description below. So let's break this supposed GT3 Sport Cabriolet prototype down. What we're looking at here is 911 carrera cabriolet chassis and retractable top, GT3 front and rear fascias, 911 ST front and rear fenders and doors, and a unique decklid and retractable spoiler with a tiny gurney flap at the outer edge. Now since this thing is sounding like it's actually going to happen, let's talk specs. The Car Passion France said that the GT3 cabrio is going to have 5 hundred and 10 horsepower, which is an interesting number, because Porsche reports the current GT3s power output to be 5 hundred and 2 horsepower and they report the 911 STs power output to be 5 hundred and 18. So the Sport cabrio falls right in between the two, which is pretty interesting. If this information is accurate, one of 2 things are happening. Porsche famously under-reports the horsepower of their cars, and potentially what's going on is that the GT3 actually makes 5 hundred and 10 horsepower and that's why this number was given, or, Porsche actually did some additional tuning to the GT3s engine to squeeze out a few more horsepower.
