This webinar examines the application of computational design in art and furniture, highlighting two specific projects. The first, robotic interactive sugar printing, uses a data-driven approach where Grasshopper transforms human sound into corresponding robotic movements. The second project, the Pat-chair, serves as a case study to explore how computational design tools are used to generate both the product's form and its digital manufacturing toolpath. Speaker: Peggy Yu is an architect, artist, and the co-founder of Patch Design. Her work spanning across physical installations, robotics, and media art. She practices as an architect in London and served as a Research Assistant at Tongji University’s College of Design & Innovation in Shanghai. Her studio, Patch Design, explores the interaction of craft, technology, and coastal cultural heritage. Yu's projects have been showcased at prominent international exhibitions, including the Venice Biennale, Milan Design Week, 3 Days of Design, and featured by Nowness. /pbzz.cargo.site/ /patchair.com /rhino3d.com/download/# #ArtAndTechnology #FurnitureDesign #DigitalFabrication #Robotics #RoboticFabrication #CreativeCoding #MediaArt #InteractiveArt
