I’m Sean, a video producer—this year I was at Poppy Mountain Music Festival 2025 in Morehead, Kentucky, filming for Skylar Schutz. It was his second year there, and the whole experience. Over the years, Poppy Mountain has hosted big names like Ricky Skaggs, John Anderson, Russell Moore & IIIrd Tyme Out, The Lonesome River Band, The SteelDrivers, Mo Pitney, and many more. In 2024 alone, the lineup included Russell Moore & IIIrd Tyme Out, Noah Thompson, Dave Adkins Band, Black Powder Express, Sammy Adkins & The Sandy Hook Mountain Boys, and local favorites like Mandalinn Jean & The Midnight Ramblers. This year, alongside Skylar Schutz and Erin Dimeler, I’ve seen acts like The Creekers, The Burnett Sisters Band, and others keep the energy alive—keeping bluegrass roots strong even as country influences grow. Poppy Mountain isn’t just music. It’s a gathering that spans generations, styles, and stories. Every artist, whether a legend or a newcomer, adds something to the story.
