This is a slideshow style presentation where I talk about and show various locations to photograph the visitor train at the Cowichan Valley Railway. I did this with an eye to the future, for both "Summer Steam Weekends" in 2023 with the Vulcan #25 "Samson" and eventually the Hillcrest Shay #1 when that steam locomotive becomes operational sometime in the future. This railway is a 1.6 Mile narrow gauge figure-8 route on the grounds of the BC Forest Discovery Centre (formerly BC Forest Museum, founded by Gerry Wellburn). The centre is in North Cowichan, north of Duncan on Vancouver Island (British Columbia, Canada). It is an outdoor forestry museum with lots of fun and interesting displays. Seen by me on May 7, 2023. ---------- Centre website: https://bcforestdiscoverycentre.com --------- Chapter Markers: 0:00 - Introduction 2:07 - Drinkwater Hill Corner 3:01 - Lakeside Water Tower 4:48 - Forest Spur 5:53 - Marsh Trail Tree 7:25 - Roadside Garden 9:11 - Alderlea Station
