The FN 509 LS Edge is a solid entry into the arena of competition pistols. The ingegral aluminum magwell that completes the grip may not be legal initially in USPSA or IPSC competition, but the FN Edge should be a powerhouse in IDPA immediately. The 509 has a great pedigree from the Army Modular Handgun trials and while the gun hasn't been popular for concealed carry it certainly has people who think it's the best. You don't have to be Colion Noir to make this gun look cool.
