Mountain Biking in the Pacific Northwest (Bellingham, WA) I’m riding a Transition Spire and recording on an insta360 X3. Bellingham is a premier destination for mountain bikers from far and wide. Galbraith Mountain is a huge reason for that. Galbraith has such a variety of mountain biking terrain from huge jumps on Blue Steel to wood features on Evolution and even massive berms on Unemployment Line that could make you think you've been transported to Whistler's Mountain Bike Park. Happy Hour is nothing like these trails, but it is one of my personal favorites. John, Casey, and I went on a mythical Bellingham mountain biking adventure touring Galbraith Mountain with our trusty canine Bella. We rode Happy Hour, Mabel's, and Oriental Express. Happy Hour features one of the biggest rock roll/slabs on Galbraith, known as Spirit Bear. Things got a little interesting in the wet conditions. Happy Hour is one of the more natural trails on Galbraith Mountain and starts hot out of the gate with the big roll/chute named Spirit Bear. From there it winds its way through the trees and along ravines. Mabel's is a newer trail to Galbraith Mountain and has some amazing handbuilt berms. Lastly, Oriental Express is a pretty natural and raw trail that has a lot of chunk and chatter... it straightens out a lot in the middle portions and you can really carry speed if you want to.
