Tonight we are going into the record to expose the truth about the “so called Jesus” picture, idolatry, and what the Bible actually reveals about the risen condition. Many people have been trained by religion to accept a man made portrait as if it is holy, but the Scriptures never gave us any image to worship, honor, or trust in. The record warns us plainly against graven images and likenesses, and it also warns us not to know Christ after the flesh. Exodus 20:4–5 (KJV) says, “Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image… Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them…” The truth is simple. Worship is not through portraits, statues, crosses, or religious art. God demands worship in truth, not imagination. We are also dealing with the hypocrisy in these popular paintings that show a soft, weak, effeminate look, while the Bible rebukes effeminacy. 1 Corinthians 6:9–10 shows that effeminacy is not a holy image. Then we will deal with the long hair contradiction. 1 Corinthians 11:14 says long hair on a man is a shame, yet these religious portraits push the opposite. From there we move to what the record actually shows about the risen condition. The resurrected life is not a powerless portrait. Revelation 1:17–18 shows authority over death, the keys of hell and of death, and victory. Luke 24:31 shows He vanished out of their sight. John 20 shows He entered while the doors were shut. Luke 24:16 shows their eyes were holden until revelation came. This proves the risen condition is above mortal limitation. Then we go even deeper into Hebrews 4:14–15 and the revelation of the GREAT High Priest. Hebrews 4:14 says, “Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens… let us hold fast our profession.” Hebrews 4:15 shows He can be touched with the feeling of our infirmities, because God was manifest in the flesh and endured what mankind endures, yet without sin. We will also prove from the record that the right hand revelation names the High Priest, Christ, Jesus, and the Son of man at the right hand, but the record never says the Son of God is at the right hand. This is a line people cross when they try to force flesh titles into heaven. The Bible will settle it. Finally, we will expose the “firstborn” lie. Colossians 1:15 does not mean first made or first created. Firstborn is rank, authority, and preeminence. Psalm 89:27 proves it: “Also I will make him my firstborn, higher than the kings of the earth.” This is why false teaching collapses when it meets the record.
