Vanilla Cake Recipe Ingredients 1½ cups all purpose flour 1 cup sugar ½ cup butter (softened) or oil 2 eggs ½ cup milk 1½ tsp baking powder 1 tsp vanilla extract ¼ tsp salt Instructions Preheat oven to 350°F (180°C). Grease an 8 inch cake pan. In a bowl, whisk flour, baking powder, and salt. In another bowl, beat butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each. Mix in vanilla extract. Add the dry ingredients and milk alternately to the batter. Mix until smooth. Pour the batter into the prepared pan. Bake for 30 to 35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
