The coordinated military attack on Iran has ignited intense debate across the world, including among community members in Portland. Dozens of people showed up for a “No War with Iran” protest in Downtown Portland Saturday afternoon, calling for the United States to get out of the Middle East and to stop providing military aid to Israel. A number of local community members said they were disappointed, but not necessarily surprised to hear that the U.S. and Israel struck Iran.
