RIDGID Table Saw R4516 vs R45171

In this video we are going to take a close look, a comparison between the RIDGID R4516 and the R45171. And I want to point out that the R45171 is nearly identical to the R4517 with one exception. The R45171 has a Soft Start Motor while the R4517 does not. Soft Start reduces the torque and the load temporarily during the startup process. It applies a gradually increasing voltage to the motor resulting in smooth acceleration as well as reducing the mechanical stress on the shaft and motor. As of this recording the R45171 has yet to be on the market. However, it will be released soon. The R4516 that has the wheels and handle will eventually be phased out and replaced by the R45171. So, if you prefer having the portability of the wheels as opposed to the stand you may want to pick up the R4516 before they are gone. I am producing two other videos on the R45171. The first is a full detailed review and the other will be on how to set up a new R45171 including assembling the stand.
