Living the Central American Backpacking dream! I bought myself a surfboard n the surf town of Central American surf town of El Tunco. Not only is it a mecca for surfing in El Salvador, but it's also a backpacker party town where most of travellers stop when crossing over from Guatemala to Nicaragua. Me and Meri spent most of our days surfing in Sunzal, eating pupusas as well as hitchhiking to El Zonte and La Libertad. Even though people consider El Salvador really dangerous, me and Meri felt really safe on the surf highway while hitchhiking (although we were to female travellers).
