How to loosen up a stuck focus ring in a lens

If you want to repair your lens but can not get into it, because the focus ring is stuck or just very tight. Well, you can take off the mount and in that way add a few drops of lighter fluid or maybe Isopropylalcohol 99%, directly onto the focus helicoid (s) and in that way softening the old hardened grease, so you hopefully will be able to further disassemble the lens.
