Scared, Excited or Both? | Munda Biddi Ultra 2022

In November 2022, I completed the Munda Biddi Ultra 2022, a 1049km ultra-endurance and self-supported bikepacking challenge from Mundaring to Albany in Western Australia through the Munda Biddi Trail, one of the world's longest off-road cycling track 🌲🦉🦘 The ride, in one way, was one of the most brutal, painful and frustrating experiences I ever had, but in another way, it was super calming or even meditative as I found a nice rhythm where things got very simple and I was able to completely empty my mind and only focus on riding and immerse myself in the nature 😌 There were only the bike, the nature and me; nothing else to worry or think about... It took me just under 4 days to complete the ride, which led me to finish the ride first amongst all the riders 🥇 Whilst I had never considered winning an ultra event as the ultimate goal, it was nonetheless fantastic to cross the finish line in this fashion 🙈 Huge congrats to all the riders whether you completed the ride or not.
