Use this simple step-by-step guide to fitting tensioned roof pleated honeycomb blinds in your conservatory. These instructions cover both manual and motorised blinds. For more info visit 👉https://www.skylight-blinds-direct.co... Step 1 – Measure Up Take three width measurements — both sides and the middle — and go with the narrowest. Then measure the length on the left and right sides, as they can sometimes differ. Step 2 – Fix the Brackets Start with the top brackets. Position them between the spools (and motors, if motorised) so nothing gets in the way. Then fix the bottom brackets — one at each end and one in the middle. Step 3 – Hang the Blind Clip the blind into the top brackets first. Carefully undo the cords and support wires, making sure not to kink them. Pull the bottom bar down and clip it into the bottom brackets. Step 4 – Set the Tension Tighten the stainless steel support wires, then adjust the cord tension by sliding the block inside the bottom bar. Step 5 – Connect the Power (Motorised Only) If there's no mains power at the top of the blind, use an external battery pack. Mount it underneath the blind using the clips or Velcro provided. Step 6 – Pair the Remote (Motorised Only) Wake the remote up, select the right channel for your blind, and test it using the down button. Top Tip: Always use the right fixings for your conservatory frame — whether that's uPVC, aluminium, or timber — and handle everything carefully during fitting.
