(This video's video's audio is mainly in English. English subtitles are displayed for the Vietnamese spoken at the beginning (first 5 minutes) and at the very end of the video (last 2 minutes). The goal of Longevity Stick Art (LSA) is a good quality of life over a long lifetime. This is gained by the daily practice of the art form. This constant practice gradually builds for maintaining health and preventing diseases, especially those affecting seniors. This instructional video presents two aspects of Longevity Stick Art: 1) The twelve (12) movements of Longevity Stick exercise with harmonious breathing for flexibility and strength; and 2) Self massage-reflex pressure for vitality adjustment. The latter technique is the subtle approach to prepare or to restore the body and muscles thus enhancing the benefits of longevity stick exercise. Both parts are based on an insightful fusion of Eastern and Western methodologies. For additional information about locations and schedules where you can attend an in-person practice session: http://www.longevitystick.org/ When you are looking for a stick to practice LSA, you have several choices depending on your needs. A one-inch wooden dowel is strong and less expensive than a painter's extension pole which can be adjusted. The length of the stick should be 2-3 inches longer than your height. Be sure to add rubber stoppers at each end so they won't slip on the floor.
