Orca Ocean (from the splash zone💦) at Loro Parque, Tenerife, August 27, 2021

This is the Orca Ocean show at Loro Parque, Tenerife. It starts with some health and safety announcements, a short animation showing how Morgan the orca was rescued, some warnings about the splash zone I was sitting in, and some general information about the orcas and how they are cared for. The show starts at around 4:00 (though you first see an orca jump just after 4:40) We were warned that we would be drenched, and I believed them. But my phone is waterproof, so I attached it to the strap of my bag, set it to wide angle, and just hoped it would catch good footage of some parts of the show, even while I was hunched over to protect my bag from splashes. We got our first splash at 12:47, and the camera did not catch much of the orcas in the immediate aftermath. 😆 Joey went to sit outside of the splash zone. My awesome friend Phil got married (a year later than planned) and a group of his friends went to Tenerife to celebrate. Joey (to whom I got engaged a few weeks earlier) happened to be around to join us. We were all fully vaccinated and tested, and masks were required at all times (even outside) in Loro Parque.
