This video follows up with our last one, and finds us crossing some beautiful parts of Africa to finish in amazing Cape Town! The comments I get the most from you guys is "MORE ATC!!" So I tried to leave as much as I could in there without making it too boring ;) The video also includes both our Departure and Arrival briefings, and hopefully this gives you a bit of insight into our typical SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures). Both briefings typically follow the CTWO-P format C: Charts - Read the chart notes and typical information like altitudes, bearings and frequencies. T: Terrain - Discuss terrain issues or threats that may be of importance (a few in our case as you'll see!) W: Weather - Any Wx conditions that may affect the procedure and require specific briefing or special attention and planning (Crosswinds or windshear? Plan the escape route!) O: Operational - Any details such as crew local knowledge, NOTAMs, literally anything that can affect the safety of flight or enhance situational awareness!
