In some cases, the original casting choices might have made sense to the producers at the time, but in the long run it is so much better that they didn’t work out. Whether a famous actor was offered a role but turned it down, which allowed an unknown to step into the spotlight, or someone asked to read for a different character and wound up surprising everyone, these casting “mistakes” definitely worked out for the best!
