Starship IFT-5 || KSP Cinematic

#spacex #starship #ksp #ift5 SpaceX Starship IFT-5 lifted of on October 13, 2024, from SpaceX’s Starbase in Texas, with one goal in mind, the first catch of a Super Heavy Booster, B12. Starship 30 (S30), aimed to reenter, controlled, and soft splashdown, in the Idian Ocean, as previously done in IFT-4. The booster had a succesfull full flight profile, carrying S30 on top on ascent, and hot staging, followed by a boostback burn to send it back to the launch tower. Following descent, Booster 12 (B12) ignited its engines mid-air, and guided itself into the "Chopsticks" for the first ever succesfull catch attempt of a booster. S30 succesfully shutdown its engines and coasted, before reentering controlled, and succesfully lit up its engines, and landed softly in the Indian Ocean, just like the plan. IFT-5 helped the Starship Program massively with gathering huge amounts of data, for both catching boosters, and landing ships.
