Far beyond low budget but with no apologies, STAR WRECK is a homemade 8mm television parody produced by three ambitious if not relatively naïve Ann Arbor native youngsters. With a near indistinguishable plot (and clearly where no man had ever gone before, much less three teenagers) from the perspective of a three man crew aboard The USS Dentureprise. Their mission? Planet Yomar? How the "mysterious ball" ended up binding the wrists of Dr. Spark and Captain Kork is anyone's guess of course, and with missing dialogue throughout to boot. Please do turn it up, to eleven if you can, or, wait... no. Maybe it's best you don't -- Filmed fall 1969 at Rich’s chicken coop studio 15 miles west of Ann Arbor. Initial concept by Ben Miller.
