Learning languages with video games is an amazing way to have fun and improve at the foreign language that you are learning. That said, there are some genres and games that are more effective for learning than others. While you can get benefits from almost any video game, in the end some are going to better than others. Learning languages with video games is definitely possible but there are some things to consider. Number one, don't be overwhelmed. This is critical and the process can and probably will be overwhelming at first. Be OK and comfortable with the fact that you won't understand everything you read or hear and that there will be many words that you don't know. This is all part of the process.
