In this video, I make a democratic chair (design and plans by Curtis Buchanan) from some Ash logs I found on the side of the road. It wasn't easy, but I'm glad I did it! Now, I'll tell you, I learned a ton! One major thing... why white pine is used for the seat! Also, it really, really matters that you try to use high quality, straight-grained material. Otherwise, you waste a ton of the material and your time in the process. Check out Curtis Buchanan's great series on making this chair.
