Here is my cover of All You Need is Love! One of my favourites. It's hard to listen to and not feel happy. As you can see I got a bit creative with the 'set design' here. Sorry for the lack of videos recently, I was on holiday for a month, and haven't had much other time for recording. Hope you enjoy! Let me know what songs you'd like to see next in the comments. In early 1967, the BBC began publicizing the world's first global television program known as 'Our World'. As part of the broadcast, the Beatles would perform live in EMI studios recording a song written specifically for the occasion. It was decided that a backing track would be carried out ahead of time, and that the group would record over existing material for the live broadcast. In Olympic Studios, this backing track consisted of a rather strange lineup. Ringo on drums, Paul on a double-bass, a violin played by George, and John playing a harpsichord. This was then mixed down to one mono track and taken back to EMI. With the remaining tracks, the group recorded some backing vocals, a banjo played by John, percussion (back of an acoustic guitar) from Ringo and George Martin on piano. For the broadcast, all these instruments would be mixed down to one track, while simultaneously recording live material onto the other three. Track one was the sub-mix, track two was bass, guitar and drums, track three was a small orchestra, and track four was Lennon's live vocals; of which he later replaced several parts for the song release. John was also using a tambourine, which can be heard in the background.
