Call us directly at 888-909-BIKE(2453) Visit us online at http://studio-cycles.com/ In today's video we will show you how to quickly and easily re-calibrate your Schwinn Echelon 2 Console with Power upgrade. If you purchase a Schwinn AC Series bike from us with our Pro Build and Tune process, we’ll actually install and calibrate the console for you, but it’s a good idea to re-calibrate from time to time, especially if you start to see inconsistent numbers. All you need is the calibration tool that came with your console and about 1 minute of your time, so lets zoom up and walk through the process. You will need the Calibration tool that came with your Console. If you lost or threw this piece away, give us a call and we can replace it for you, but you will need it for this process. The first step is to place the calibration tool on the flywheel with the upward lip facing away from the bike, and slide it back far enough until it is directly under the magnetic basket. Tighten the resistance all the way down, and check to make sure the magnetic basket is resting on top of the calibration tool. Hold the Stage and Avg. Max buttons down on the console at the same time to open up the Console Menu. You may need to hold the button for 10-20 seconds. You will know you have opened the menu successfully when you see the word “Carbon Blue” appear on the screen. Repeatedly press the Avg. Max button to scroll through the menu options until the screen reads “Calibrate.” Hit the light button to enter the calibration mode. ** Be careful not to touch the bike during this process as it can throw off the calibration Repeatedly press the Light button until you see the words “Set Zero Point” (you can skip the instructions regarding placing the calibration tool on the flywheel as we have already performed this. You should see a calibration reading that shows 0.0 – 0.1 (alternating with a number showing 375-358). If this number is off, repeat the steps to re-calibrate. Press the Avg. Max button until you see “Calibrate Exit” and press the light button to Exit. Remove the resistance and calibration tool, and test your bike at 0 resistance. At 80 RPM, power should read about 20, but a range of 13-30 is acceptable as it is difficult to hold a perfect 80 RPM.
