This travel day shows the cost I paid for the day going to the St. Elise complex and shopping for 4 bottles of my favourite French wine in Carrefor supermarket. The ferry was £13 each way which was a bargain at £26 return with the day in the Poole car park @ £15 making it £41 for the day. Previously you could walk from the Cherbourg departure lounge to the St Elise complex which was about a 30 minute walk. With the new fencing being erected, making a lot longer on the walking, it had to be a Uber taxi to and from the departure area to the complex and return for 38 Euro's. The bar I normally uses was under new management and the drink I show was 10 Euro's - yes 10 Euro's!! My favourite wine being Sauternes which worked out at 4 bottles at 11.95 Euro's each with a total of 47.80 Euro's. The half bottles of Sauternes shown are in Sainsbury for £12.50 for a half size bottle, so it makes a good deal to pick it up less than half price from Cherbourg. Previous trips to this complex can be seen in my previous videos. • Poole to Cherbourg day trip as a foot pass... and here • Poole to Cherbourg with Brittany Ferries D...
