It's part of a larger project to re-build and re-locate the current Altona Train Station further up north at the current position of Diebsteich Station. Therfore, many railway tracks were reconstructed to obtain space for city-building projects such as a new park and many residential buildings. To this day, Mitte Altona is still under construction, but already attract local tourists, that go on a walk in the park or let their kids play in the many playgrounds. ▶ Hamburg-Altona (from Wikipedia) Altona is the westernmost urban borough (Bezirk) of the German city state of Hamburg, on the right bank of the Elbe river.
