The Elder Scrolls VI is a big project for Bethesda. In many ways, more important to Bethesda Game Studios than Starfield. Returning back to an existing, and beloved, IP after more than 15 years fans expectations are going to be higher than ever. With the underwhelming launch of Starfield, even the biggest Bethesda fans have reasons to be concerned about whether or not The Elder Scrolls VI will be able to live up the the quality that players wish to see. What is next from The Elder Scrolls franchise, can it live up to expectations, and is Bethesda even capable of making the Elder Scrolls game we are all hoping for or is it too late? Additional Stuff: Elder Scrolls VI is being looked at with additional scrutiny after a loss of some key team members who contributed to many of the best past Bethesda games including Morrowind, Oblivion, and Skyrim. Not to mention the studios documented growing pains from the company expanding from around 100 employees to well over 500 across different studios in multiple states which has been talked about by former employees at the company such as Will Shen, Nate Purkeypile, Dennis Mejillones & more. But my biggest issue with the current state of Bethesda isn't what a lot of critics point to. Bethesda writing has never been leading in the industry, its engine might not be graphically the most capable, and they may even release with less than desirable bugs. But this hasn't stopped players from enjoying games like skyrim, or fallout decades later more than some recent releases. So what is the real issue? I think it comes down to some of Bethesda's modern design philosophy. Which is a much more difficult issue to correct. And one I'm not so certain they can.
