This Indian bus ride was brutal.I wasn't in a good mood. Cochin to Alleppey.

Today I’m feeling out of sorts with the traveler blues and should probably not have taken a local Indian bus from Cochin to Alleppey as the road is just one long construction site and the trip made for an arduous few hours. The bus ride should have only been an hour or so but turned into over three hours due to the construction of a freeway. Once in Alleppey on the short walk from the bus stand to my guesthouse the vibe of Alleppey becomes apparent and I feel a little better about life as the backwaters here are very relaxed and calm. I give you a room tour of my accommodation which I like a great deal. It’s run by a lovely family and is perfectly situated between a canal and rice fields. This was a travel day!
