M/S of a woman in overalls and a turban, breaking lots of eggs, one after another, into a metal cup in a factory. We pan left to show two rows of women sitting either side of a conveyor belt, all cracking eggs into metal containers and throwing the shells on a lower conveyor belt, while egg yolks move slowly along the upper conveyor belt in a trough. Commentator tells us the eggs are about to be frozen in their thousands for large scale bakers and confectioners. One of the women sniffs her jug of eggs before pouring them into the trough. Interesting M/S and C/U from the egg shell conveyor belt as numerous shells are thrown onto it. Another lady brings a new load of eggs to the girls to break. The eggs float along the conveyor belt and into a large fish-shaped container, where a woman spoons out dodgy ones and sniffs them - yeuch! M/S of eggs going down a chute and into a funnel; I'm not sure if these are good or bad eggs. M/Ss and C/Us of women breaking eggs into special containers that separate the yolk from the white. M/S of a man in a white coat climbing up some steps to look in a huge vat of eggs being mixed; C/U of the eggy liquid. M/S of some women turning a pump to fill sterilised cans with the pre-cooled egg mixture. C/U of cans being pushed along a roller-belt. M/S of the door of the deep freeze; a man in big mittens and a heavy duffel coat opens the door, and he and another bloke wheel a crate of tins in. Some good 'quirky egg' shots, complete with quirky egg music. Note: the factory is not mentioned by name in the commentary; it is S Behr and Mathew Ltd [sic] in Borough High Street, London.
