Buzzard days... two sessions in a hide

This is a compilation of clips from a couple of days I spent in my buzzard hide on a farm in North Wales showcasing some of the birds' behaviour. It's been a project over the last five years to get this hide set up and birds accustomed to it and coming in regularly. It's such a privilege spending time with them, filming and photographing them at close quarters. When you see them like this you really appreciate what beautiful birds they are and get to enjoy lots of behavioural traits that you possibly wouldn't see during most encounters with buzzards. The hide is little more than a shed with a photography window and where the plant life has been left to grow around it so better blends into the environment. The birds still know there's something there and are very cautious - I have to be so careful with lens movement to avoid spooking them. All recorded and shot with Sony a1 and Sony 600mm GM (with out without 1.4x) mounted on a tripod and with a cable shutter trigger.
