Timberline Trail Trek

This tells the tale of my (mostly) solo backpacking trek of the Timberline Trail. 42.63 miles long and 8943 ft of elevation ascent, the trail circles Mt. Hood, the tallest peak in Oregon. This was one of the hardest backpacking trips I have ever done. Many to the trip in 4 days / 3 nights, some do it in 2 days / 1 night, and trail runners will do the whole damn thing in a single day. I met one on my trip, it was his 2nd attempt after being forced to bail on his first attempt. I took 5 days / 4 mights for my trip, almost quit a couple times, but so incredibly glad I didn't. Props to all who have completed this journey, it's effin' tough, but so very rewarding. I'm signed up to do it again this September (2025), doing the trip to help celebrate a friend's 60th birthday. I cannot wait to go again.
