These Five Years, a five-year journal, was created by a mother who wanted a beautiful (and quick!) way to capture moments from her daughter’s first years. Unable to find a detailed comparison of Amazon KDP hardcover finishes, we ordered both - one in English (glossy) and one in French (matte) - to compare. While we loved the vibrancy of the glossy finish, many were drawn to the velvety texture of the matte. We ultimately went with the matte as we felt it gave the book a more premium feel.
