One of the most amazing adventures I've had in a long time! On the crisp, clear, sunny morning, from the Thirlmere lake, I climbed to Helvellyn (950 m - third highest in England) - sub-zero temperatures, howling wind, wild and truly arctic conditions! (in other words: fantastic). The time on Helvellyn must have been one of the most amazing moments I've had this year. This was followed by climbing seven more Lake District summits with constant incredible panorama of the mountains to the west as well as the Blencathra ridge to the north. Eventually I dropped down back to the Thirlmere valley.
